Lead Fullstack Engineer

Description

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to join our growing team in Vietnam and drive the technical excellence, architectural vision, and engineering practices across multiple projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping solutions end-to-end — from concept to delivery — while mentoring engineers, influencing technology decisions, and ensuring our teams build scalable, high-quality digital products.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on both technical depth and team impact — leading by example, setting direction, and empowering others to deliver their best work.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams across multiple streams or domains
• Collaborate with product owners, delivery leads, and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Drive architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices across teams
• Mentor and grow engineers at all levels, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and collaboration
• Conduct regular technical reviews, ensure system reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with DevOps and QA to optimize CI/CD, testing, and observability
• Stay current with emerging technologies and bring innovation into the engineering roadmap
• Champion a healthy engineering culture — promoting autonomy, quality, and pragmatic problem-solving

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong background in full-stack or backend/frontend systems
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, define architecture, and make strategic technology decisions
• Hands-on expertise with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Node.js, Java, or Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, infrastructure as code)
• Deep understanding of software architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
• Excellent communication and influencing skills — able to balance technical and business perspectives
• Strong problem-solving mindset, capable of breaking down complex challenges and guiding others through ambiguity
• Experience working in Agile, product-driven environments

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large-scale eCommerce or retail platforms
• Previous exposure to Australian clients or multinational environments
