Lead Full-Stack Developer

Elevate is Optime Group’s workforce platform used by major aviation and logistics operators across the UK. It’s central to how thousands of people get scheduled, onboarded and deployed every week. We’re now taking Elevate into its next chapter and we’re looking for a Lead Full-Stack Developer to help us shape it.

You’ll work closely with our founder to evolve the product, refine the architecture and deliver new features that improve how our clients run their operations. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll guide the technical direction, write clean code and oversee any external support while making sure Elevate stays fast, stable and easy to scale.

What you’ll do

• Lead the technical development of Elevate and own the codebase
• Build new features across the full stack (frontend, backend, APIs)
• Integrate new UI work already being built and bring it into the main platform
• Shape the architecture and ensure the system remains scalable and secure
• Work with external developers where needed and review their work
• Introduce good engineering practices, testing and documentation
• Help drive AI-led improvements across the product
• Support deployments and ensure a smooth release cycle

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with modern full-stack development (TypeScript, React, Node.js or similar)
• Comfortable designing and building APIs and working with databases
• Good understanding of scalable architectures and cloud hosting
• Someone who enjoys autonomy and takes ownership
• Experience working on SaaS products or internal platforms
• A confident problem-solver who keeps things simple and practical
• Ability to lead technical decisions and manage external contributors
