About the Team

Stitch Fix’s Fulfillment Platform group is a multidisciplinary team of Software Engineers, Operations Researchers and Data Scientists that owns the technology powering every step of a product’s journey - from a vendor’s dock, through our fulfillment centers, onto a client’s doorstep and back again.

Our systems drive the movement, accuracy, and efficiency of inventory flow across our network, inside our warehouses, and through our delivery channels. We own and operate the platforms that enable:

  • SLA-driven order-fulfillment workflows that optimize throughput, labor efficiency, storage utilization, pick paths, and real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Inventory validation on receipt and pre-shipment to protect data integrity and client trust.
  • Forecasting inbound merchandise arrivals using vendor Advance Shipment Notices (ASNs) and carrier scan data.
  • Intelligent carrier selection that balances speed, cost and delivery promise.
  • End-to-end shipment tracking for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Carrier integrations and label generation across all package types.
  • Data-driven decisions for allocations, inter-warehouse transfers, zone-skipping, and more.

The scale, complexity, and immediacy of these decisions create a deeply data-rich environment that rewards both rigor and creativity. We value a curiosity-driven culture where engineers independently own products end-to-end, navigate complex tradeoffs, and deliver measurable business impact.
