Job Overview

The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading electronic design and configuration hence to support project meeting targeted product quality, time to market and cost.

This position reports to the Shanghai R&D Department Lead and will be located in Shanghai.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and technical implementation of complex electronic systems; drive product iterations and cost-reduction initiatives in alignment with project plans.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of projects, maintain legacy products.
  • Interface cross-departmentally with production, quality, commercial, and other teams to provide technical support, participate in customer demand communication, and formulate customized solutions.
  • Be responsible for compiling and reviewing core technical documents, tracking updates to industry standards and regulations, and leading cost optimization and technical risk management.
  • Enhance team’s electronic design capabilities through knowledge sharing, effective collaboration, and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Support marketing opportunity, manufacturing and quality issues

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of design experience in power electronics, specifically in high-frequency switch-mode power supply systems.
  • Profound familiarity with various DC-DC and AC/DC topologies (e.g., half-bridge, full-bridge, flyback, buck/boost, forward, LLC, etc.) and their underlying principles; strong understanding of magnetic design related to switch-mode power supplies.
  • Prior experience in designing front-end AC-DC projects is preferred.
  • Learning agility, strong leadership to mentor teams and drive collaboration; excellent communication, problem-solving, and adaptability to align tech with business goals under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
