Responsibilities:

  • Help the VP of Content build and scale pet health content efforts, including managing the day-to-day, monthly and quarterly content workflow
  • Find, recruit, and set up new licensed board members and staff writers. Train and support writers on how to use Forbes tools and style guides
  • Work with the editorial and SEO leadership teams to build best practices for the Pet Health editorial team, including content, templates, imagery and social media standards
  • Leverage data and SEO best practices to create monthly topics for writers that include explanatory content, expert Q&As, how-tos, roundups, best-ofs and product reviews
  • Work collaboratively with the global content team, creating best practices worldwide for the space
  • Edit and produce best-in-class editorial content
  • Work with the methodology team to build methodologies to rate and rank related products and services for best-ofs
  • Work with the data team to develop proprietary data sets on pet health and veterinary services and identify first-in-class existing data and its source in order to explore potential sharing arrangements
  • Brainstorm and contribute to social content including features and original photography efforts


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in Pet Health journalism
  • 3-5 years of experience in online journalism
  • Demonstrably strong understanding of the veterinary space
  • Experience with SEO best practices, willingness to learn and expand SEO skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy
