About the Role
We are partnering with an innovative health-tech company to design and implement a next-generation Azure-based data platform that will power their digital healthcare experience. This initiative re-imagines how data, analytics, and AI come together to drive real-time insights and seamless healthcare interoperability across telemedicine and telehealth solutions.
As the Lead Data & Pipeline Architect, you will design and operationalize the Azure data architecture, shaping ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks that ensure performance, scalability, and trust in data. You’ll play a pivotal role in creating reusable, metadata-driven frameworks and establishing Medallion zone standards that enable analytics and AI at scale.

Key Outcomes
- Build reusable ingestion frameworks supporting multiple data sources.
- Define and enforce data quality, lineage, and governance standards.
- Optimize ELT pipelines for cost, performance, and reliability.
- Establish clear standards for partitioning, compaction, and storage optimization.
Core Responsibilities
- Design the end-to-end Azure data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns.
- Develop metadata-driven pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and/or Synapse or Databricks.
- Implement frameworks for idempotency, error handling, and recovery.
- Integrate Purview (or equivalent) for cataloging, lineage, and RBAC.
- Partner with BI developers to define semantic models, KPIs, and Power BI refresh strategies.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure automated testing and performance validation.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering on Azure.
- Advanced expertise with ADF, ELT frameworks, and PySpark or SQL.
- Strong understanding of Medallion architecture and open table formats (Iceberg, Delta).
- Proven experience implementing data governance and lineage solutions (Purview preferred).
- Solid background in data modeling (dimensional, star schema, data vault a plus).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
