In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics platforms to enable data-driven decisions across multiple business functions. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient data solutions, leveraging modern tools like Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Looker. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, implement best practices in data governance, and ensure data quality, reliability, and performance. Accountabilities

  • Lead the development of end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines for business reporting and analytics.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data models and data warehouse solutions in Snowflake.
  • Develop, test, and deploy DBT models, ensuring modularity, performance, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical point of contact for data technologies and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including pipeline failures and data inconsistencies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data models and dashboards.
  • Apply and champion data governance, quality, and best practices across pipelines and models.
  • Collaborate with analysts, BI teams, and other stakeholders to optimize data delivery and reporting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles with hands-on expertise in Snowflake.
  • Strong experience with DBT and modern data stack tools (Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, SQL, AWS).
  • Solid experience in data modeling, warehouse architecture, and optimizing large-scale datasets.
  • Proficient in building automated, high-quality ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with Data Mesh or similar distributed data architectures is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery processes (e.g., SCRUM).
  • Excellent SQL skills, including query optimization and advanced analytics queries.
  • Familiarity with Python, data governance tools (Atlan, Alation, Collibra), or data quality tools (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Soda) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
