BH2M is seeking a Land Surveyor Department Manager to be responsible for the direct oversight and management of field and office work for various types of survey and engineering related projects. This is an onsite position in Gorham, Maine.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible surveying/management experience
Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of Maine is required
Experience performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, FEMA surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout
Expertise with GPS and Robotic survey equipment
Experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)
Driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis
Ability to work onsite in the Gorham, Maine office
Benefits:
Competitive salary in the range of $105-130K, based on experience

Responsibilities:
Oversight, management, and scheduling of survey field crews
Perform preliminary research in the office through the Registry of Deeds in preparation for the survey projects
Compute land survey boundaries and prepare staking files for construction layout projects
Preparation and review of plats of survey including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, subdivisions, and ALTA surveys
Effectively communicate survey results to clients and project managers
Organization and management of survey records and files
Assist with the preparation of budgets and proposals
