Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering or Physical Science subject.
  • 7 to 10 years of working experience in a relevant technical or scientific facility/laboratory, ideally within Chemistry or a related field with at least 2 years in a managing role.
  • Proven experience managing technical teams and specialist facilities is essential, including coordinating major and minor works to agreed specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Demonstrable planning and risk management skills, with experience in developing and implementing strategies for laboratory facilities that support research needs.
  • Strong technical knowledge is essential, including expertise in chemical management and safety, understanding building systems and familiarity with health and safety legislation and compliance. Electrical and mechanical expertise are also advantageous.
  • You will also have excellent English communication skills and consultative approach, with the ability to work collaboratively at a senior level and deliver strategic priorities aligned with the functional and company goals.
