Labor & Employment Attorney (must be based in California)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on labor and employment law issues
  • Draft memos, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Manage and support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Assist with employment law compliance and risk management
  • Advise clients on employment law matters and provide legal guidance
  • Conduct client communication and maintain relationships
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities

Requirements

  • Admission to practice law in California
  • 3+ years of experience in employment litigation as well as transactional and advisory work in the labor and employment context.
  • Experience with drafting policies, employee handbooks, employment contracts, union negotiations, DFEH, EEOC and OSHA regulations, compliance and investigations, and providing sexual harassment avoidance trainings and advice.
