L3 Network Engineer

TLDR

Take ownership of global DNS-DHCP infrastructure, support Meraki and firewall environments, and contribute to datacenter and core network architecture in a dynamic international setting.

We are looking for an experienced L3 Network Engineer to join our global Network Services team within Continental Tires IT. In this role, you will take ownership of the global DNS‑DHCP infrastructure, support Meraki and separation firewall environments, and contribute to datacenter and core network architecture.

You will work in a dynamic, international environment alongside global, regional, and local teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable network operations.

Your Responsibilities

Core Network Services & Operations

  • Operate, maintain, and further develop the global DNS‑DHCP infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of globally managed network services (DNS‑DHCP, Meraki, LAN, Core Network).
  • Perform monitoring, backup, restore, compliance checks, and lifecycle activities.

Meraki, Firewalling & Datacenter Networks

  • Support and operate Meraki deployments across global and local sites.
  • Manage and troubleshoot separation firewalls and segmented network zones.
  • Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of local datacenter networks.

Engineering, Design & Standards

  • Participate in the design, engineering, and documentation of network architectures.
  • Define, implement, and enforce global standards and processes.
  • Evaluate new technologies and support service improvement initiatives.

L3 Support & Consultation

  • Resolve complex third‑level incidents and problem tickets.
  • Collaborate closely with central, regional, and local IT teams to support hardware lifecycle and configuration quality.
  • Provide expert consultation to locations on core network infrastructure.
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Several years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network environments.
  • Proven background in DNS‑DHCP, firewalling, and datacenter or branch networking.
  • Experience in global operational roles and large distributed infrastructures.
