We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 IT Systems & Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical issues, providing advanced support across infrastructure, networks, and systems, and mentoring junior team members. You’ll be responsible for managing escalated support requests, implementing robust IT solutions, and ensuring the stability and security of our technology environment for our clients.

This is a great time to join our Service Operations Team as it embarks on a transformational journey to support the growth of our business. Reporting to our Service Operations Manager, you will be a key member of our fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and troubleshoot L3 incidents (P1/P2) with a view to apply permanent measures
  • Perform minor and major infrastructure changes
  • Take a lead role in reviewing IT environment and technically providing fit for purpose recommendations
  • Mentor our L1/L2 team by knowledge sharing
  • Proactively identify and raise technical issues that could lead to potential risks
  • Be a champion to document and update technical knowledge base
  • Participate in rotational On-Call responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical advisor, guiding decisions with evidence and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience or more as a Systems Engineer or similar role
  • Readiness to perform and grow within a fast-moving MSP environment
  • Proven record and hands-on experience for core technologies like:
    • Microsoft Stack (Azure, M365, Exchange Online, AD/EntraID, Intune, Autopilot)
    • Email Routing and Security Gateways (Mimecast, Defender)
    • Endpoint protection (Sophos, CrowdStrike, Defender or similar)
    • Basic Network knowledge
  • A security-first mindset (compliance & risk) with a proactive approach to prevention
  • Exceptional level of professionalism, organisational skills and efficient time management (timesheets)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that inspire trust, influence outcomes, and demonstrate role-model leadership
