Mirantis is looking for a talented DevOps engineer with experience in Kubernetes and public clouds to help us evolve and expand the product and is willing to work on the intersection of DevOps and QA engineering. This  person will join our k0rdent core team and will be designing, deploying and testing product cloud infrastructure on top of open-source components.

Responsibilities.

  • Deploy, test, and evaluate Mirantis k0rdent and other K8S-related products

  • Research, develop, implement CI/CD tooling to ensure Mirantis products workability and performance.

  • Participate in designing and developing of the tools for deploying K8S environments

  • Make recommendations based on obtained test results for both Mirantis development teams and the open source community

  • Participate in requirement, design, planning, and retrospective meetings

  • Participate in planning, estimation and prioritization of a product features

  • Work with the geographically distributed team in a dynamic Agile environment

  • Help with customer issues resolutions

  • Thorough understanding and experience with Docker and Kubernetes

  • DevOps engineering experience, understanding of CI/CD core aspects

  • At least 3 years of practical experience in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) as a server platform. Deep understanding of OS,  ability to debug and tune an underperforming system, as well as troubleshoot hardware issues

  • Experience with versioning control systems, such as Git

  • Familiarity with code-review systems, like Gerrit or GerritHub

  • Direct experience with public clouds such as AWS / Azure / GCP

  • Bachelor degree in CS or related field

  • Good communication skills, can-do attitude, and focus on results

  • Upper-intermediate spoken and written English

Will be a plus

  • Golang experience

  • Experience with Kubernetes cluster management tooling (Rancher, Gardener, Tanzu)

  • Experience with open source development

  • Experience with instrumenting and utilizing monitoring tools for determining health status of a system (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

  • OpenStack, VMware ecosystems knowledge

  • Experience with high load systems
