As a Kitchen Steward at Belmond, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment to support the preparation of exquisite dishes. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Supporting the culinary team by operating dishwashing and cleaning equipment efficiently.
• Maintaining organized storage of clean dishes and kitchenware.
• Assisting with basic food preparation as needed, such as peeling and chopping ingredients.
• Managing waste disposal and recycling to keep the kitchen clean and environmentally friendly.
• Collaborating with the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina to handle tasks that require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
• Good communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
• Flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
