Position Overview
The Key Account Manager France will play a pivotal role in launching and accelerating ZURU’s Consumer Goods business in the French market. Owning the commercial strategy and execution with key French retail partners, this role carries full P&L responsibility and is accountable for driving sustainable sales growth, profitability, and brand presence across Beauty, Personal Care, and adjacent categories. As ZURU’s main point of contact for French retail customers, the KAM will lead negotiations, develop joint business plans, and act as a category growth partner with an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset.

• Successfully onboard and develop priority French retail accounts, ensuring strong launches, distribution gains, and promotional execution.
• Establish ZURU as a credible, high-performing partner through excellent execution, availability, and commercial discipline.
Long-term impact:
• Build long-term, strategic partnerships with French retailers based on data, insight, and mutual value creation.
• Contribute to ZURU’s ambition to become a category leader in France by shaping innovation roadmaps, strengthening brand equity, and delivering sustainable profitable growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Ownership (P&L): Own and deliver sales, gross margin, and profitability targets for assigned French key accounts.
Customer Strategy & Negotiation: Develop and execute account strategies, lead annual negotiations, range reviews, and JBPs with French retailers (e.g. GMS).
Relationship Management: Build strong, trust-based relationships with buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams, positioning ZURU as a long-term growth partner.
Category & Consumer Leadership: Act as a category expert, leveraging market, shopper, and consumer insights to influence category strategy and unlock growth opportunities.
Commercial Excellence: Define and execute optimal assortment, pricing, promotions, and shelving strategies to maximize in-store and online performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Marketing, NPD, Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning to ensure flawless execution of launches, promotions, and forecasts.
Supply & Forecast Collaboration: Partner with Demand Planning to ensure high service levels, accurate forecasts, and efficient inventory management.
Market Development: Support the broader go-to-market strategy for France, contributing insights on local retail dynamics, competitive landscape, and shopper behavior.
Skills & Experience
Strong entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building a business from the ground up and acting as an owner.
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care, or Consumer Goods.
Solid analytical capabilities with experience using data (e.g. Nielsen / NIQ, IRI, Kantar) and customer data.
Demonstrated success in negotiation, JBPs, and category growth with French retailers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills in French; professional English required.
Master’s degree (Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent) or relevant commercial experience.
