The Key Account Director is responsible for managing and growing relationships with CES’s most strategic clients. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction while driving revenue through renewals, upselling, and business line expansion. The role requires a strong balance of relationship management, strategic account planning, and sales execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned key accounts, building trusted, long-term partnerships. 
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth, retention, and expansion goals. 
  • Drive renewals by proactively engaging accounts well ahead of contract expiration. 
  • Identify opportunities to upsell CES’s existing solutions and expand adoption across business lines. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, product, regulatory, and support) to ensure client satisfaction and deliver value. 
  • Maintain deep knowledge of CES service offerings, energy markets, and client business objectives. 
  • Track account health, engagement, and growth opportunities using CRM and reporting tools. 
  • Act as clients advocate within CES, ensuring client needs and feedback inform business strategy. 
  • Represent CES at industry events, conferences, and client meetings as a trusted partner. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, or related field; MBA a plus. 
  • 8+ years of account management, business development, or client-facing sales experience (energy sector experience strongly preferred). 
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through upselling, renewals, and cross-selling. 
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills with C-level stakeholders. 
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce experience plus).
