About Beit Karam

Beit Karam is a first-of-its-kind community organization for education, healing, and rebuilding in Syria. Founded in Aleppo, it is a home for possibility created for young people and families returning after years of displacement, as well as those who never left, to carry their communities forward.

Beit Karam is where Syrian youth discover their potential, explore creative learning, and shape the future of their communities. It’s where people access training and mentorship, and find a space to heal from trauma.

This work is made possible through our partnership with Karam Foundation and Karam Evi, two organizations committed to restoring dignity and rebuilding futures across the Syrian diaspora. Beit Karam deepens this mission by bringing it home.

About Karam Studios

Karam Studios is an innovative education program for Syrian youth, based on studio learning and hands-on activities. With support from Karam Foundation, we focus on helping students build real projects, explore creative ideas, and learn by doing.

In Syria, we are launching a mobile studio truck that brings fun, educational, and creative activities directly to schools in and around Aleppo and Idlib.

Role Overview

As a Studio Mentor, you will lead project-based activities and workshops for students aged 13–18. You’ll travel with the truck to schools and learning centers, guiding students through small projects in media, technology, or community. You’ll work closely with the Program Coordinator in Syria and the teams in Turkey and the US.

This role combines teaching, logistics, and student management. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with backgrounds in architecture, engineering, computer science, design, or technology, who are also organized and passionate about working with youth.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Design

• Deliver hands-on workshops and activities in different schools and locations around Aleppo using the mobile studio truck and other facilities
• Guide students through activities in design, prototyping, brainstorming, ideation, and other project-based learning concepts.
• Apply and adapt the studio curriculum with the support of the Program Designer and the Program Manager
• Support students in idea generation, prototyping, and presenting their work
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students
• Contribute to activity planning and feedback loops to improve the curriculum over time

 Logistics & Operations

• Coordinate with the Program Coordinator to prepare and transport materials
• Support in driving or arranging transportation for the mobile studio truck
• Help identify and communicate with participating schools and partners
• Prepare purchase requests (PRs) for needed materials and supplies
• Assistthe Coordinator in following up with vendors on purchases and deliveries
• Maintain tools, equipment, and overall readiness of the mobile studio

Student Management & Monitoring

• Collect and organize student information in our database (age, school, contact, etc.)
• Track daily attendance and follow up on absences
• Promote student registration and encourage regular attendance
• Monitor student engagement and track learning progress during the studio
• Share feedback about student progress, challenges, and needs
• Support in preparing end-of-studio reflections, documentation, and evaluation
• Help organize exhibitions and small showcases

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or background in one of the following fields:
  • Architecture / Interior Architecture
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Science / Programming
  • Robotics or Electronics
  • Product Design / Industrial Design
  • Media Arts or Visual Communication
• Experience working with youth in an educational or workshop setting
• Ability to lead a group, adapt activities, and work independently
• Resides in Aleppo or nearby areas, with flexibility to travel locally
• Fluent Arabic speaker; English is a plus
• Interest or experience in project-based learning is a strong advantage

بيت كرم هي منظمة مجتمعية رائدة من نوعها تُعنى بالتعليم و التعافي وإعادة الإعمار في سوريا. تأسست في حلب، وهي تُتيح للشباب والعائلات العائدة بعد سنوات من النزوح، وكذلك لمن لم يغادروا البلاد، فرصةً للمساهمة في بناء مجتمعاتهم.

بيت كرم هو المكان الذي يكتشف فيه الشباب السوريون إمكاناتهم، ويكتشفون فيه فرص التعلم الإبداعي، ويساهمون في بناء مستقبل مجتمعاتهم. إنه المكان الذي يحصل فيه الناس على التدريب والتوجيه، ويجدون فيه مساحةً للتعافي من الصدمات.

استوديوهات كرم برنامج تعليمي مبتكر للشباب السوري، يعتمد على التعلم والأنشطة العملية في الاستوديو. بدعم من مؤسسة كرم، نركز على مساعدة الطلاب على بناء مشاريع حقيقية، واستكشاف أفكار إبداعية، والتعلم بالممارسة.

في سوريا، نطلق شاحنة استوديو متنقلة تقدم أنشطة ترفيهية وتعليمية وإبداعية مباشرة إلى المدارس في حلب وإدلب

والمناطق المحيطة بها

نظرة عامة عن الدور

قائمة على المشاريع للطلاب الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 13 و18 عامًا. ستسافر مع الشاحنة إلى المدارس ومراكز التعلم، مرشدًا الطلاب من خلال مشاريع صغيرة في الإعلام أو التكنولوجيا أو المجتمع. ستعمل بشكل وثيق مع منسق البرنامج في سوريا والفرق في تركيا والولايات المتحدة.

يجمع هذا الدور بين التدريس والخدمات اللوجستية وإدارة الطلاب. نبحث عن أفراد متحمسين للغاية من ذوي الخلفيات العلمية في الهندسة المعمارية أو الهندسة أو علوم الحاسوب أو التصميم أو التكنولوجيا، على أن يكونوا منظمين و متحمسين للعمل مع الشباب

المسؤوليات الرئيسية

التدريس وتصميم المناهج

• تقديم ورش عمل وأنشطة عملية في مدارس ومواقع مختلفة في حلب باستخدام شاحنة الاستوديو المتنقلة وغيرها من المرافق
• توجيه الطلاب خلال أنشطة التصميم، والنمذجة الأولية، والعصف الذهني، وتوليد الأفكار، ومفاهيم التعلم القائمة على المشاريع.
• تطبيق منهج الاستوديو وتكييفه بدعم من مصمم البرنامج ومديره.
• دعم الطلاب في توليد الأفكار، والنماذج الأولية، وعرض أعمالهم.
• تهيئة بيئة تعليمية آمنة وشاملة ومحفزة لجميع الطلاب.
• المساهمة في تخطيط الأنشطة وحلقات التغذية الراجعة لتحسين المنهج الدراسي مع مرور الوقت.

اللوجستيات والعمليات

• التنسيق مع منسق البرنامج لإعداد ونقل المواد.
• الدعم في قيادة أو ترتيب نقل شاحنة الاستوديو المتنقل.
• المساعدة في تحديد المدارس والشركاء المشاركين والتواصل معهم.
• إعداد طلبات الشراء للمواد والمستلزمات اللازمة.
• مساعدة المنسق في متابعة عمليات الشراء والتسليم مع البائعين.
• الحفاظ على الأدوات والمعدات والجاهزية العامة للاستوديو المتنقل.

الإدارة والمراقبة الطلاب

• جمع معلومات الطلاب وتنظيمها في قاعدة بياناتنا (العمر، المدرسة، جهات الاتصال، إلخ.).
• تتبع الحضور اليومي ومتابعة حالات الغياب.
• تشجيع تسجيل الطلاب وتشجيع الحضور المنتظم.
• مراقبة مشاركة الطلاب وتتبع تقدم التعلم أثناء الاستوديو.
• مشاركة الملاحظات حول تقدم الطلاب والتحديات التي يواجهونها. الاحتياجات
• الدعم في إعداد تأملات نهاية الاستوديو، والتوثيق، والتقييم
• المساعدة في تنظيم المعارض وعروض العرض الصغيرة

المؤهلات المطلوبة

• شهادة جامعية أو خلفية في أحد المجالات التالية:

1. الهندسة المعمارية / الهندسة الداخلية
2. الهندسة الميكانيكية أو الكهربائية
3. علوم الحاسوب / البرمجة
4. الروبوتات أو الإلكترونيات
5. تصميم المنتجات / التصميم الصناعي
6. فنون الإعلام أو الاتصال البصري

• خبرة في العمل مع الشباب في بيئة تعليمية أو ورش عمل
• القدرة على قيادة مجموعة، وتكييف الأنشطة، والعمل بشكل مستقل
• يقيم في حلب أو المناطق المجاورة، مع مرونة في السفر محليًا
• يتحدث اللغة العربية بطلاقة؛ اللغة الإنجليزية ميزة إضافية
• يُعد الاهتمام أو الخبرة في التعلم القائم على المشاريع ميزة إضافية قوية
