Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Legal team to support increasing regulatory, contractual, and compliance challenges in a fast-evolving environment. Your mission will be to support the legal team in contract management, data protection compliance, and legal monitoring in order to ensure secure and compliant business operations across Scaleway’s activities. YOUR FUTURE TEAM We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together. You will be part of a team of 5 people, composed of legal experts covering contract law, business law, intellectual property, and data protection. You will work closelywith both the senior contracts legal counsel and the compliance/RGPD specialist, contributing to strategic and operational legal topics. YOUR DAILY ROUTINE Tasks ● Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (clients, partners, suppliers) ● Maintain and update GDPR registers and documentation ● Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIA) ● Contribute to the drafting and improvement of internal legal processes ● Perform legal monitoring on evolving regulations (AI Act, Data Act, NIS2, etc.) ● Write legal notes and summaries for internal stakeholders ● Support responses to RFPs and large client negotiations ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams on compliance topics ABOUT YOU HARDSKILLS ● Master’s degree (Master 2) in Digital Law, Data Protection Law, or related field ● Strong knowledge of contract law and digital law ● Good understanding of personal data protection regulations (GDPR) ● Ability to work in English (written and spoken) ● Familiarity with tools such as GSuite, Confluence, JIRA, Slack is a plus SOFTSKILLS ● Rigorous and detail-oriented ● Strong analytical and synthesis skills ● Curious and eager to learn ● Adaptable in a fast-paced environment ● Customer-oriented mindset WHAT YOU WILL FIND AT SCALEWAY ++++ Offices: Our offices are spacious, dynamic workspaces with bold design, conveniently located near public transport.
