Junior Technical Writer

Ventrata is looking for a Technical Writer who is curious, user-focused, and eager to learn. Prior experience in technical writing is not required; mindset and aptitude matter more than tools. Is that you?

Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, FAQs, release notes, and knowledge base articles;
• Knowledge Base Ownership, creating comprehensive documentation for our customers;
• Assist our marketing team in releasing newsletters that highlight our latest product updates and innovations;
• Review and fine-tune existing documentation to improve accuracy, readability, and consistency;
• Gather feedback from teams to drive continuous improvement;
• Stay up-to-date with product updates and changes to keep the documentation current;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and accuracy of information.

Requirements

• Strong written English (minimum B2 level), with excellent grammar and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (engineering, product, support, non-technical teams) and adapt tone and approach accordingly
• Approachable and feedback-friendly, with low ego around content and a focus on improving documentation quality
• Independent and conscientious, able to assess how feedback or changes affect not just one article but the wider knowledge base
• Logical thinker, capable of structuring complex information in a clear, user-friendly way
• Strong user-centric mindset, with the ability to write for audiences ranging from non-technical users to experts
• Linguistic sensitivity, especially when working with translations or localized content (no need to speak multiple languages)
• Curiosity and learning mindset—comfortable admitting knowledge gaps and actively working to close them
• Basic technical literacy: some familiarity with programming concepts and the ability to understand and reason about hardware or device functionality
• Comfortable learning and using new tools (CMS, documentation platforms, internal systems)
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly as writing and research assistants
  

Nice to have:

• Basic understanding of how software systems and components interact
• Sensitivity to documentation maintenance, consistency, and long-term quality
• Experience using AI tools in structured workflows (e.g., prompt iteration, output validation)
