We are looking for a technically minded Junior System Developer who is familiar with programming and eager to grow in system integration and data platform development. You will work closely with our Digitalisation Manager, supporting the technical side of our system architecture and development tasks. The role is focused on technology but you’ll collaborate with others across the group based on shared technical best practices.
Role responsibilities:
In this role, you will support the implementation and maintenance of technical components of our IT systems, including:
- Writing and maintaining code in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar).
- Building small applications and automations as part of internal tooling.
- Supporting the setup and maintenance of a local data warehouse.
- Learning how system integrations work and supporting local implementation tasks.
- Working with Azure components such as Functions, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, and Data Factory.
- Collaborating with developers from other MET subsidiaries to follow existing architecture patterns and practices.
- Creating technical documentation for internal solutions in Jira.
- Supporting data processing and reporting in Power BI and Databricks at the beginning
- 0–1 year of experience in software development or IT systems (internship or personal projects also count).
- Understanding of at least one programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.).
- Willingness to learn how integrations between systems work (via APIs, middleware, etc.).

Knowledge of SQL and working with databases.
- Comfortable using Azure DevOps or Jira.
- English and Polish at B2 level or higher (spoken and written) – must be comfortable in daily technical conversations.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft DataLakehouse or Databricks.
- Experience building or maintaining small internal tools or scripts.
- Knowledge of how reporting tools (like Power BI) work
- Understanding of software development lifecycle or agile methodology.
- Understanding of the utility sector or retail operations is a plus (billing, switching, PoD, etc.).
