Junior Security Engineer (Remote - Europe)

This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow as a security engineer while supporting a cutting-edge industrial AI platform. You will work closely with product and development teams to design, implement, and maintain security tools and infrastructure that enhance operational efficiency and protect critical systems. The position involves hands-on experience with network technologies, cloud services, Linux environments, and security automation. You will also contribute to obtaining and maintaining security certifications, support cross-functional initiatives, and help foster a culture of quality, growth, and innovation. Accountabilities:

·         Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and implement security solutions tailored to their needs.

·         Design, develop, and maintain security tools, automation scripts, and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency.

·         Support the organization in obtaining and maintaining security certifications (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).

·         Provide training and guidance to product teams on using security tools effectively.

·         Monitor and report on security performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending optimization strategies.

·         Participate in cross-functional projects to drive innovation and enhance platform security practices.

·         Contribute to a culture of teamwork, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

·         Completed or near-complete studies in Computer Science or a related field.

·         Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.

·         Basic experience with networking technologies (routing, DNS, VPN, network performance).

·         Familiarity with Linux environments, including terminal usage, SSH, and Bash scripting.

·         Understanding of cloud products and services.

·         Pragmatic approach, high sense of ownership, and strong teamwork skills.

·         Nice-to-have: prior internships, traineeships, or experience in security-related projects or environments.
