The Role

The Quality Control (QC) Associate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the certified, uncertified, melee and gemstone quality control process, ensuring that all products meet established standards. This role is essential in maintaining product excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction. The QC Team associate will work closely with ops teams, suppliers, and internal departments to implement and maintain effective quality control processes. The person will also be responsible for shipments from NL hub. There will be a strong focus on Melee and Jewelry.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • On Time QC: Ensure 100% of diamonds, melee, gemstones & jewellery orders are QC’d the same day as received.

  • Quality Audits: Assist internal and external quality audits to assess product performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to reduce their QC rejections

  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality issues by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve QC methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Strong focus on Melee and inventory management

  • Shipments: Assist with logistics of shipping orders

What you'll need:

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months hands on experience with diamonds, gemstones or melee.

  • Education: Preferred Certified Diamond Grader or equivalent degree

  • Technical Skills: Strong experience in grading or QC’ing melee, gemstones, diamonds. Proficient in Excel.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and thoroughness in executing tasks.
