Position Description

This role is focused on primarily testing for back-end logic, APIs, and UI. Coordinating with Product Owners and Engineers to ensure quality feedback loops are maintained. You will be expected to be highly involved in the development process as well, working with Developers to ensure you understand how the product works and are ready to pick it up once development finishes.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Reviewing requirement documents, specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback

• Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

• Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities

• Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

• Perform different levels of testing such as regression testing, sanity testing, smoke testing etc

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product owners) to identify system requirements, debug results

• Track quality assurance metrics

• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Upper-Intermediate level of English (at least) is a must - you'll be working with English speaking team.

• A minimum of 3 months of work experience in software quality assurance or QA testing course completion.

• A previous background in banking, accounting, finance or math is a huge plus for this role.

• Basic knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and process

• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

• JIRA knowledge will be an advantage

• Experience in Git is preferred
