Junior Python Developer — AI Team

To date, Ajax product portfolio includes 280 devices for intrusion protection, video surveillance, fire and life safety, and comfort and automation.  The company employs 5, 000 specialists.    We're looking for a Junior Python Developer to join our AI team, where you'll help teach our video devices to see more than just a picture — to distinguish specific objects in the frame, track their movement and behavior, and recognize events and the people involved. This role focuses on the practical engineering work that makes it all possible — sourcing, processing, and versioning training data across multiple formats and sources, developing internal tools that ML engineers rely on daily, and contributing to a complete ML platform for automated training, evaluation, and deployment.   What we're looking for   Must have: • CS fundamentals — familiarity with common data structures and algorithms • Python skills — ability to write clean, maintainable code • Database fundamentals — understanding of different database types, core concepts like indexing, schemas, transactions, and SQL queries • Basic understanding of computer vision concepts • Experience working with common data formats — JSON, XML, YAML   Good to have: • Experience with object detection frameworks • Familiarity with OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, or similar data processing libraries • Exposure to MLOps tooling — experiment tracking, dataset versioning, data pipelines   We offer: • An opportunity to take on new challenges, advance your career, and make a meaningful impact. • Opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and dynamic environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and the exploration of new ideas.
