Junior Product Developer (m/f/d) - LAYBELS (private label)

At ABOUT YOU, the LAYBELS team develops capsule collections in close collaboration with celebrities, influencers, and creatives. Each collection captures the individual style of our partners while reflecting current cultural and fashion trends. Our creative team in Berlin leads the entire process from development to launch. Made up of experienced designers, apparel technicians, and buyers, the team closely monitors emerging trends and identifies potential bestsellers early on. 

To support the team, we are looking for a Junior Product Developer (m/f/d). In this position, you will be responsible for both the technical implementation of product development and the creative development of our collections. You will ensure that all product features meet ABOUT YOU standards.

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure company standards for quality, fit, and function in close collaboration with buying, designers, and key stakeholders across the organization
• Assist fittings and fit assessments
• Ensure provision of technical information/comments using our PDM system and Adobe Creative Suite
• Collaborate with the buying and/or design teams to support the translation of the original idea into the final product

Requirements: 

• Completed studies in garment technology or comparable education
• First professional experience in product development and/or apparel production
• Project management skills and a “can do” mentality
• Strong knowledge of garment specifications, fit, and pattern making
• Eye for detail and experience in dealing with suppliers and employees at all levels within the department
• Passion for fashion, enthusiasm, hands-on mentality, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in English
