About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Electronics Engineer with a strong interest in power electronics and general analog/digital circuit development to support the simulation, design, testing, and validation of our products. This position is part of the Electronics Team and will work under a Hardware Technical Lead in our Liberty Lake, WA office.

Responsibilities

  • Work with technicians to build and operate power electronics test benches
  • Execute functional, performance, and stress testing on motor drives and various power electronics products
  • Perform laboratory measurements to validate electronics designs and performance
  • Support design engineers in the review of schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection
  • Design various electronic circuits for Infinitum products
  • Select components, manage part libraries, layout and design of PCBs
  • Work with firmware engineers to design hardware, deploy firmware, and test electronics functionality

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Altium Designer experience: schematic and PCB layout
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in power electronics
  • Knowledge of basic power electronic converters
  • Strong ability to read schematics and datasheets
  • Experience using lab equipment
  • Understanding of electrical safety for high-voltage systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of embedded C programming for microcontrollers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with motor drives in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of motor drive control theory
  • Laboratory experience with low-voltage power systems
  • 1-2 years of professional experience with PCB design in Altium
  • Simulation experience with power converters
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW
