Junior-Middle UI/UX Designer (Mobile Apps)

Faria is seeking a Junior to Middle UI/UX Designer for Mobile Apps who is passionate about crafting native mobile experiences for iOS and Android, as well as impactful digital experiences. Who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is ready to work hard to transform the EdTech industry. 

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Mobile Apps Team, supported by the Design Lead, and partner with other stakeholders across cross-functional teams to build design systems for our mobile app products. 

You’ll have the opportunity to design components for our web applications across all supported resolutions and help adapt them for mobile apps. This role is ideal for designers ready to contribute to cross-platform development, working in parallel with iOS and Android teams.

Who You Are: 

• You are user-focused, passionate about creating user-centered, intuitive designs that solve real-world problems, and have great design aesthetics and skills. Your designs stand out in that they elegantly solve customer problems
• You are comfortable designing for both iOS and Android paradigms
• You are a good communicator. You are comfortable working cross-functionally, translating design ideas into clear, actionable concepts for product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• You are open to feedback and eager to grow
• You have experience designing, shipping, and iterating on real-world products. You bring at least 1-2  years of UX design experience, ideally in a tech company. 
• You are good with systems and think in systems, not just screens. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Design native iOS and Android app interfaces following Apple HIG and Material Design
• Contribute to and maintain mobile design systems components
• Create wireframes, UI designs, and interactive prototypes in Figma
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers on implementation-ready designs
• Participate in design reviews and iterations
• Prepare design hand-offs and documentation
• Audit existing mobile UI for usability and consistency

Requirements

Your Qualifications: 

• Proven experience in a UX/UI design role, with a portfolio showcasing native mobile applications 
• Expertise in Figma for design and prototyping, and FigJam for collaborative planning rituals 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to share design decisions clearly and foster collaboration 
• Hands-on experience working with engineers to refine design scope and support efficient implementation 
• Advocating for a customer-first approach, influencing design direction, and iterating based on data and user feedback. 

 Would be a plus:

• Educational Tech SaaS product experience
• Experience in building design systems for native mobile apps
