Junior Legal Counsel

Let’s start with the role

As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will provide proactive legal advice across a broad range of business matters, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues. You will identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while supporting business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure alignment in new product launches and business initiatives. You will also advise on advertising and promotional activities, ensuring compliance with advertising standards and consumer protection laws.

As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will:

• Provide proactive legal advice on a wide range of business matters, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory issues;
• Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while supporting business objectives;
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, and partnership deals;
• Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests;
• Manage contract disputes and assist in resolution strategies;
• Support corporate governance matters, including the drafting of resolutions and internal policies;
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and training programs to promote best practices across the organization;
• Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards, data privacy laws, and ethical business practices;
• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure alignment in new product launches and business initiatives;
• Advise on advertising and promotional activities, ensuring compliance with advertising standards and consumer protection laws.

What you will bring:

• A law degree with an active OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) registration;
• Extensive relevant experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience;
• A highly analytical, hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and think creatively to provide effective solutions;
• A positive team player with strong communication skills at all levels;
• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken;
• Tech-fluency. 
• Excellent contract negotiation, risk assessment, and regulatory advisory skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth industry and manage multiple legal priorities;
• Strong business acumen and ability to support commercial strategy while managing legal risks;
