Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to strengthen our finance team in The Hague. In this role, you will report to our Finance Manager and become part of a team of five professionals working on all finance topics—from bookkeeping to reporting—for our international organization with entities in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Pakistan.
 
You will be a key point of contact within the team. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, as you will receive hands-on guidance and mentorship to deepen your knowledge and grow into an independent financial controller. Additionally, you will collaborate daily with the team on administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will regularly partner with the Finance Manager on improvement projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening our financial foundation.
 
This position offers exposure to a wide range of tasks, including:
 

• Monthly reporting and closing
• VAT declarations
• General bookkeeping tasks
• Optimizing financial operations and ERP system
• New project: integration of the administration of our UK entity (also applicable to other companies that could be acquired)
• New project: BI-tooling

Your profile

• Communication and organization skills
• Fluent in Dutch, strong level of English. German is an advantage
• Pro-active and hands-on mentality
• General knowledge of bookkeeping (e.g. Dutch GAAP/IFRS)
• Excellent Excel knowledge
• Advantage if you have experience with BrightAnalytics or Sage
• 2-5 years of experience within financial bookkeeping and controlling
• HBO werk- en denkniveau
