Junior Finance Manager (m/f/d)  for our Billing & Payments team.

Your Tasks:

Billing, Payouts & Transaction Matching:

  • Manage the full-cycle invoicing process for our partners, ensuring invoices are generated accurately based on platform data.

  • Perform daily reconciliations of incoming bank payments against open invoices & platform data. 

  • Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports and support the collection process (dunning) to ensure timely receipt of funds.

  • Execute the weekly “Transactions Matching” process: Handle large datasets, investigate discrepancies and prepare payable reports based on the matching results. 

General Ledger and Journal Entries:

  • Support the Month-End Closing process, specifically focusing on Revenue Recognition and Cost of Sales reconciliation.

  • Prepare journal entries in our ERP system and conduct monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Support our team’s initiatives and collaboration with teams across the organization, including sales, tech, and operations, by providing financial data.

  • Ensure that the intercompany allocation of costs and invoicing of services are booked correctly.

Internal Controls and Auditing:

  • Support the team in internal and annual external audits by preparing documentation and explanations as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Recommend enhancements to the financial reporting and analysis processes.

Your Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • Background: You have a degree in Finance/Business or equivalent practical experience in large datasets and high-volume transactional environments.

  • Professional Experience: You have approx. 2 years of experience in an accounting or operational finance role (AR/AP, Billing), preferably within an international or group context.

  • Environment: You are comfortable working in a high-volume transactional environment and are not intimidated by processing large amounts of data.

Tech & Data Skills:
  • Spreadsheets: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is required. You must be comfortable managing large datasets using Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and conditional formatting.

  • Accounting Software: Proven experience with standard accounting platforms (e.g. DATEV, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).

  • Data Analysis: Basic knowledge of SQL or experience with BI tools is considered a strong plus.

  • Communication: You have effective communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate smoothly with diverse teams (Sales, Tech, Ops).

  • Agility: You are able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and have a proactive willingness to learn and develop within Finance & Operations.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

  • German language skills are a plus.
