Responsibilities

  • Model and transform data to support reporting and analytics, with a strong focus on star and snowflake schemas;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines feeding the reporting layer;
  • Create, optimize, and maintain Power BI datasets and reports (including measures, relationships, and visuals);
  • Use SQL and PySpark to clean, join, and aggregate data within the Lakehouse environment;
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into robust data models;
  • Support monitoring of data quality and performance at the reporting layer and propose improvements where needed.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in building Power BI reports (data model, measures, visuals, basic performance optimization);
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, especially Star Schema and Snowflake Schema;
  • General understanding of Data Lake / Lakehouse / Data Warehouse architectures;
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and transforming data;
  • Basic knowledge of PySpark or initial experience with Python/Spark and a strong willingness to develop this further.

Nice-to-have skills

  • Exposure to or experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Engineering experiences);
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/ELT orchestration tools;
  • Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases;
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
