Junior Data Scientist

As a Junior Data Scientist, you won’t just support the team, you’ll be hands-on in uncovering patterns, building data pipelines, experimenting with cutting-edge AI, and shaping how our products evolve. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary group of data scientists, engineers, and product leaders, contributing ideas that directly impact real-world outcomes. This is a temporary contract role (approximately 12 months) with the possibility of extension, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-growth SaaS company while collaborating with a dynamic and cross-functional team.

What you do as the Junior Data Scientist at Liferaft

• Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, developers, and other stakeholders to understand the problem space and provide innovative and effective solutions.
• Incorporate fairness, transparency, and accountability into machine learning models and data-driven solutions to prevent bias and discrimination.
• Setup tracking and manage Pendo analytics platform
• Be an integral part of the LifeRaft Labs team and contribute ideas to solve complex challenges in the OSINT space

Requirements

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• Experience as a Data Scientist or similar relevant role.
• Experience with cleansing and handling large volumes of data, preparing datasets, manually evaluating data and spotting patterns in visualization
• Experience with Python data stack
• Experience in prompt engineering
• Experience with natural language processing
• Experience with data visualization in Python
• Experience working with commercial or open source Large Language Models
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Bonus Points For

• Experience working with Rest APIs
• Experience working with Elastic Search or similar platforms
• Experience prototyping with the Streamlit framework or similar
• We will value experience in language modeling, unsupervised methods (clustering)
