Junior Data Center Shift Engineer

• Assist in ensuring that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
• Monitor power and environmental conditions within all critical spaces within the facility.
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
• Assist with planning and scheduling (corrective) maintenance activities
• Escort and support outside contractors, ensuring they are abiding SF work rules and processes
• Respond to site events, execute appropriate EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event. Assist Sr. Engineer in stabilizing the event.
• Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
• Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
• Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
• Adhere to all Dutch safety laws and requirements
• Adhere to SF corporate information, security, quality and environmental standards
• Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times
• Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
• Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI’s/SLA’s. Ensure up to date shift logs / Shift Handover documents are completed/kept at all times.
• Ensure the professional image of Serverfarm is presented to clients at all times
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works

• Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
• Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards.
• Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure.

Education                         A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematical skills.

Formally trained in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
BMS Knowledge.
Experience (Essential) of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical

equipment to clearly defined criteria.

Driver's license type B.

Electrical License - 250A, 630A.

High voltage license would be an advantage

Work permit at its heigh - valid would be an advantage

Training                            Any I.T or Data Centre qualifications would be an advantage

                                          A good knowledge of IT equipment and their components including server, switch and blade technology.     

An understanding of the Data Centre environment, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments.

                                          Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office applications.

                                         A good understanding of fault diagnostic techniques including the use of handheld test equipment.

Circumstances                Must be willing to work 12-hour shift pattern made up days and nights, to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns if required
