Reporting to the Senior Event Coordinator, Cycling Programs, the Junior Coordinator is a key member of the operations team supporting the growth and successful execution of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride and Ride North. You will support the team (including the Associate Vice President, Cycling Programs - Corporate & Community Partnerships) in all fundraising and event coordination activities including ancillary event activations and stewardship of existing and new participants. The Junior Coordinator will support the team in meeting their overall fundraising and registration objectives. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their event organization skills while engaging with our community and supporting our mission.

You will:
• Update daily Revenue and Registration reports to track event progress
• Mail customized kits of items to event participants, honorary chairs, and sponsors
• Update key operating documents to help ensure on-event networking and operations runs smoothly
• Organize event management internal documents and files to ensure references are readily available to the Event Management team
• Support the Senior Event Coordinator with day-to-day project management and project execution to ensure the team is meeting deadlines
• Support the Ride Senior Manager with development of Team Engagement Calendar, including completion of intake forms, event scheduling, production of support materials and post-event participation detailing
• Assist with event set up and tear down, including arranging furniture, facilitating item pickups, and coordinating operational logistics on-site
• Ensure optimal re-registrations on-event for the signature events, by engaging with event participants and actively promoting the event
• Organize and oversee warehouse storage to maintain an up-to-date inventory leading up to event week
• Manage inventory of various swag and merchandise to ensure accurate distribution and for inventory purposes

• Experience in supporting fundraising events, including participant engagement and stewardship, demonstrating an ability to inspire and motivate individuals to support fundraising events.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent work experience; minimum secondary school diploma required.
• Strong knowledge in event coordination and logistics; understanding the role that philanthropy plays in advancing these activities is an asset.
• Ability to muti-task and work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composed demeanor especially during intense periods and events.
• A resourceful, strategic, service-oriented mindset with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong interest in being part of a goal-focused service team.
• Interest in a healthy lifestyle and/or fitness is considered an asset.
• Experience with Blackbaud CRM and AKA Raisin an asset
