Position Summary: High Voltage Brokers is seeking a Junior Broker Intern to join our team on the Green Environmental Desk dealing in domestic certificate schemes such as ACCUs, LGCs, STCs, VEECs, ESCs & PRCs. The ideal candidate is results-driven with a strong work ethic, has an aptitude for managing external relationships, and ability to work autonomously.   Joining as a Junior Broker in the team, the successful applicant will start off by learning the basic tasks and work his/her way up to be a full-time broker.  Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with front office to resolve client enquiries  
  • Assist with analysis & modelling of emerging opportunities in environmental & energy markets 
  • Assist with market operations by undertaking daily procedures associated with operating our markets 
  • Adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, and any activities for which you are responsible 
  • Liaise daily with operations, commercial functions, and clients, and support their needs 
  • Prepare documents and presentations to assist in business development 
  • Create commercial reports, which may include market trading activity and trend analysis 
  • Complete any mandatory training by the required deadlines 
  • Act with integrity, care, and diligence in carrying out your duties 
  • Assist with other ad hoc requirements 
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Any previous sales/broking experience would be helpful 
  • Good computer and organisational skills  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication in English is required and the ability to work in a small team 
  • Confident, outgoing personality happy to talk with colleagues and clients
