Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeping Support professional with experience in the Australian market to assist with day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general bookkeeping processes and payroll support.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process invoices and resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Monitor and maintain AR/AP aging items.
  • Assist with billings and data entry related to financial transactions.
  • Participate in month-end processes and reporting.
  • Support overall bookkeeping and accounting functions as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support within the Australian market.
  • Experience with Australian tax and compliance requirements is a must
  • Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of AP/AR processes, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small finance team.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in month-end accounting processes.
