Junior Accounts Officer
TLDR
This role involves full ownership of the accounts payable function while supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks, offering structured processes and accuracy exposure.
Accounts Payable – Full Function
- End‑to‑end AP processing (invoice intake, coding, matching, approvals, payments)
- Supplier master data maintenance
- Weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- AP inbox management and vendor queries
- AP ageing analysis and month‑end cut‑off
- Process supplier and customer credit applications
- Conduct basic credit checks
- Set up new suppliers/customers in system
- Maintain credit files and onboarding documentation
- Liaise with sales, procurement, and operations
- Bank reconciliation, credit card, and employee reimbursement vetting
- Basic journals (accruals, prepayments)
- Month‑end support
- Balance sheet reconciliation assistance
- Audit support
- Process improvement
- General administrative duties
Credit Application & Onboarding
Junior Accounting & Reconciliation Support
General Finance Support
- 1–2 years AP or junior accounting experience
- Understanding of AP, credit applications, and basic accounting
- Accounting software experience (Xero, MYOB, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong Excel and data handling skills
- Self starter, high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
