What We Need

We are looking for a detail‑driven Junior Accountant who is progressing through the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). The ideal candidate will support core accounting functions, including month‑end close activities, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and the full accounts payable cycle. This role is ideal for an early‑career accountant who wants to build practical experience while working toward the CPA designation.

Job Duties

• Prepare and post routine journal entries for month-end and year-end close

• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts

• Maintain supporting documentation, schedules, and working papers

• Support the full AP cycle, including:

• Processing invoices

• Coding and routing for approval

• Posting vendor payments

• Performing AP-related reconciliations

• Maintaining accurate AP records

• Prepare audit documentation and respond to external auditor requests

• Complete ad hoc accounting tasks and analysis as required

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Clear communication skills and a collaborative work style

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Experience with ERP systems is an asset (e.g., NetSuite, Airbase)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred)

• 0–3 years of accounting or finance experience, including co op or internship experience

• Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting is considered an asset
