ROLE SUMMARY

The Junior Program Officer provides critical administrative, coordination and operational support to ensure the smooth execution of Renew Capital’s startup and ecosystem programs. This role is highly detail-oriented and execution-focused, sitting at the foundation of program delivery, documentation and compliance.


The Junior Program Officer works closely with the Program Officer, program managers, accountants, founders, mentors and external partners to maintain clean records, support logistics and ensure operational readiness across all program activities.


Responsibilities:

The Junior Program Officer’s responsibilities are focused on four core areas:

1. Program Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain clean, structured program documentation, including cohort files, trackers, attendance sheets, and deliverables.
  • Own the full administrative function of the program, including filing, archiving, signatures, printing/scanning, and maintaining audit-ready records.
  • Ensure strong naming conventions, version control, and organization across all program folders and records.
  • Assist in preparing summaries, meeting notes, and reporting inputs.

2. Financial & Compliance Support

  • Coordinate closely with the accountant of the Moroccan entity, including administrative follow-up, supporting documentation, invoices, and program-related financial files.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements and expectations across public partners, internal teams, and service providers.
  • Support compliance, audit, and reporting readiness through accurate documentation and disciplined processes.

3. Coordination & Operational Support

  • Coordinate session logistics, including calendars, confirmations, materials, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure operational readiness ahead of sessions and events, including participant lists, badges, files, checklists, and supplies.
  • Support application intake tracking and ensure data quality across records and systems.
  • Support founder and mentor communications, including email and WhatsApp coordination, confirmations, and instructions.

4. Team Support & Flexibility

  • Support additional tasks beyond the written scope as needed to keep program execution smooth.
  • Be available to support program events outside standard working hours when required.
  • Be able to travel within Morocco and internationally, depending on program needs.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of experience in coordination, administration, operations or project support (startup, corporate, NGO or university program experience acceptable).
  • Extremely high attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
  • Comfort working with documentation, structured processes, and repeated operational tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and consistent follow-through.
  • Languages: Fluent in Arabic, French and English (spoken and written, mandatory).


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Exposure to startup ecosystems, accelerators, entrepreneurship programs or event coordination.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, HubSpot, Airtable, Notion and Canva.
  • Ability to support occasional evening or weekend events when required.

Location and Travel Opportunities:
