Summary We are seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to join a small, senior team delivering enterprise platforms used worldwide. This role is an accelerated growth position working on ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, and custom .NET applications within an Agile/Scrum environment. You will partner with senior BAs, developers, and platform owners to gather requirements, map processes, support testing, and translate business needs into actionable user stories tracked in Azure DevOps. This role is hands-on from day one and ideal for someone curious about AI, automation, and platform-driven solutions. This is not a passive support role; the BA is expected to own deliverables, ask good questions, and learn quickly with guidance from senior team members Responsibilities Elicit, document, and validate requirements with stakeholders using user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process flows. Create, refine, and manage user stories, tasks, and bugs in Azure DevOps; update sprint boards and track acceptance criteria. Learn to support requirements workshops with guidance from senior BAs. Map current-state and future-state business processes and maintain team-standard process documentation. Apply basic SQL, Python, or JavaScript to explore automation opportunities and prototype lightweight solutions. Gather, clean, and analyze data to support project decisions and visualize findings for stakeholders. Assist in writing and executing user acceptance test (UAT) scripts and log defects with clear reproduction steps in Azure DevOps. Prepare status updates, meeting notes, and presentation materials for technical and non-technical audiences. Maintain requirement documents, test artifacts, and process maps so work is auditable and shareable. Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, flag blockers, and help drive retrospective action items. Requirements 2+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, project coordinator, or similar analytical role; internships and co-ops count. Demonstrated ability to communicate technology and business concepts clearly in writing and verbally to both technical and non-technical audiences. Exposure to structured analysis techniques such as user stories, use cases, gap analysis, workflow diagrams, or process mapping. Comfortable operating in ambiguity: asks clarifying questions, proposes solutions, and takes ownership of deliverables. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through: tracks, escalates, and resolves issues until closed. Familiarity with or willingness to work on ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and custom .NET applications. Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for story management, documentation, and delivery tracking. Nice to Have Exposure to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and practices. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile work management tools. Basic SQL, Python, or JavaScript skills for querying data or scripting prototypes. Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted analysis. Awareness of process improvement frameworks such as Six Sigma, Lean, or DMAIC. Background in staffing industry or HR technology.
