The position and your daily adventures

As a Jr. Analytics Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that supports business decision-making. Your mission is to ensure that our Redshift Data Warehouse remains the Single Source of Truth by developing scalable pipelines, robust data models, and efficient data ingestion and transformation processes. In simple terms: you will help turn raw data into reliable, actionable insights that drive the business forward.

This is a full-time position based in our Mexico City office under a hybrid model. You will be expected to attend the office 2–3 times per week.

What you can expect:

• Data pipelines and modeling: Create and maintain scalable data models using SQL (dbt) and Python, ensuring that our Redshift data warehouse (DWH) remains the Single Source of Truth.
• API integrations: Develop and optimize Python scripts for ingesting data from third-party APIs, ensuring an efficient flow into our DWH.
• Big Data processing: Use PySpark to transform large-scale datasets, with a strong focus on performance and efficiency.
• Orchestration: Work with data orchestration tools (Mage) to schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot production workflows.
• Code quality: Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and follow Git best practices to ensure high engineering standards.

You and your assets:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with advanced SQL, including complex queries, window functions, and performance optimization (academic experience will be considered relevant experience).
• 1+ year of experience with Python, including solid understanding of data structures and programming logic, as well as experience consuming APIs and handling JSON or structured data.
• Familiarity with PySpark and big data processing, including working with Spark DataFrames and large-scale datasets.
• Understanding of data orchestration concepts and experience with tools such as Dagster, Mage, Airflow, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of Git workflows, including branching, commits, and pull requests.
• 1+ year of experience as an Analytics Engineer (desirable).
• Advanced English proficiency.
