Join the Growing Cyber Security Practice at Methods

Cyber security at Methods is expanding, deliberately and at pace.

We’re investing in our Cyber Practice to support critical UK public sector programmes, and we’re engaging with cyber professionals who want to build capability, deepen expertise, and grow with a consultancy that puts people first.

Whether you’re already operating at a senior level or looking to take the next step in your cyber career, we’re keen to speak with people across a broad range of cyber disciplines.

Requirements

Where we’re growing

We’re particularly interested in professionals working in, or aspiring to move into, areas such as:

  • Security Operations (SOC Analysts & Engineers) – detection, response, threat hunting
  • Industrial & OT Security (IACS / OT Cyber) – protecting operational and safety-critical environments
  • Cyber Security Architecture – secure-by-design solutions for complex estates
  • GRC & Assurance – governance, risk, compliance, audit and regulatory alignment

Developing cyber professionals the right way

At Methods, growth is intentional and grounded in real delivery. We support training and development aligned to the frameworks and standards our clients actually use, including:

  • NIST (e.g. Cyber Security Framework and risk management models)
  • UK National Cyber Security Centre guidance, including the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
  • UK public sector security, resilience, and assurance models used in regulated and high-risk environments

We also actively support progression towards recognised cyber accreditations, including:

  • Professional development via Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISEC)
  • Associate Cyber Security Professional (ACSP)
  • Practitioner Cyber Security Professional (PraCSP)
  • Principal Cyber Security Professional (PCSP)
  • Chartered Cyber Security Professional (ChCSP)
  • Other industry-recognised cyber, architecture, and governance certifications relevant to your specialism

This means structured development, credible credentials, and hands-on experience with complex cyber challenges, while still allowing people to specialise, pivot, or grow into new areas over time.

Why Methods

  • Work on meaningful, high-impact programmes across central government and critical sectors
  • Be part of a people-led consultancy where expertise is trusted and developed
  • Help shape a growing cyber practice, not just join an established one
  • Learn, mentor, and progress alongside experienced practitioners
