[Job - 25136] Senior Data Architect - Governance Focus, Brazil

This is Thai Viapiana from CI&T's Talent Attraction Team :) We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to oversee the technical work of our data teams. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring governance, quality, and best practices in data engineering across multiple teams. This position requires proven leadership skills, an understanding of client standards to validate deliverables and drive continuous improvement within the team, and technical knowledge of Databricks. Previous experience in the CPG Industry is a plus. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight - Lead and manage multiple data engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. - Handling the challenges of bureaucracy in global companies with a pragmatic style. Data Governance Implementation - Structure and evolve a centralized catalog, dictionary, and data lineage. - Define and maintain corporate data standards (business rules, nomenclatures, and models). - Implement and monitor data quality processes (data quality, KPIs, alerts, and supplier SLAs). - Ensure a governed architecture in the data lake (landing/bronze/silver/gold) and master data management practices. - Establish data ownership, reduce silos, and align areas around a single source of truth. - Apply security, access, and compliance policies aligned with the company's global guidelines (nice to have, guidance comes from global). Business Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with internal clients (business areas) to understand their data needs and ensure that solutions delivered meet their standards and expectations. - Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery. Engineering Management - Drive weekly meetings with global teams, sometimes across different time zones. - Define and enforce documentation requirements and architectural guidelines across all data teams. - Validate the technical deliverables of each team against engineering best practices and client requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities. - Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. - 5+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture. - Knowledge of Databricks to design and implement data solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. - Proven experience managing complex projects. #LI-THAI23
