The Data Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the development and lifecycle management of data products that deliver real value to users. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, product management skills, and an understanding of data analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and prioritize the product roadmap for data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with data engineers and architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
Conduct market research and gather user feedback to inform product enhancements.
Ensure that data products adhere to quality standards and meet user needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in product management, preferably within data-centric environments.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, data governance, and data management practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Languages: English is essential (ideally C1/C2 to be able to communicate), Spanish desirable (LATAM teams tend to prioritize English but it can facilitate communication)
- Tools: Azure DevOps (or similar such as JIRA), DBeaver, DataBricks, PowerBI (report building, DAX, knowledge of semantic models and PowerBI Apps/Workspaces functionality).
- Code and Frameworks: SQL essential, knowledge of data structures with Medallion architecture.
- Experience working in the Agile model (prioritization, effort/capacity, resource allocation).
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of Kafka/ADX, SAP.
