Position Overview
As a Senior Android Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and optimizing mobile applications that elevate user experiences. You will work across the full development lifecycle, utilizing your expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure applications are scalable, accessible, and aligned with CI&T’s commitment to innovation and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Implement new features and modify existing features in mobile applications with a focus on accessibility.
Create engaging and creative user experiences by leveraging deep knowledge of Android development platforms.
Develop complex applications from top to bottom, including UI design, application architecture, implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment.
Optimize the size, performance, and reliability of mobile applications and frameworks.
Estimate the duration of design, development, documentation, and testing tasks, ensuring timely delivery.
Support existing production applications, troubleshoot and resolve critical issues swiftly.
Assist in the design and generation of automated unit and functional tests to ensure application quality.
Must-have Skills:
Expert-level knowledge of Android development and Kotlin programming.
Proven experience with Jetpack Compose.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in quality software development.
Strong object-oriented programming, design, and architecture skills.
Expertise in mobile application development languages and frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective user interfaces.
Experience with asynchronous and multi-threaded programming, networking protocols.
Proficiency in mobile application development tools (e.g., CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub).
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Tech Stack:
Modularization and Micro Frontends (MFE).
GraphQL.
CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub.
Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience with design patterns and scalable application architectures.
Exposure to or interest in AI-driven development.
