Java Backend Developer (US)

As a Java Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services that power complex digital solutions. You will work across all stages of the software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis to deployment—while collaborating with cross-functional teams including QA, application support, and business stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, troubleshoot production issues, and implement best practices in microservices, cloud-native applications, and CI/CD pipelines. Accountabilities

• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, unit testing, deployment, and production support.
• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate with databases (Oracle, MySQL) and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Troubleshoot production and environment issues, coordinating with QA, application support, and business teams.
• Follow Agile development methodologies, grooming user stories and participating in sprint planning.
• Ensure application designs align with business objectives and deliver robust, maintainable code.
• Prepare and produce software releases, adhering to CI/CD best practices with tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Maven.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend development, specializing in microservices architecture.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and cloud-native services.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with source control and build tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, and Maven.
• Ability to analyze user requirements, define system objectives, and design scalable solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Experience working collaboratively in Agile teams and mentoring junior developers.
