Fraport Greece (FG), in the framework of the operation of the 14 Regional Airports, seeks for an IT&Τ Systems Engineer. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the company’s servers and systems while playing a key part in developing, planning, and implementing projects and initiatives related to system operations and security.

IT&T Systems Engineer collaborates closely with the IT&T Infrastructure team as well as the other department within the organization.

The role primarily is in our Headquarters in Marousi.

What will you be doing?

  • Install, support, and maintain all hardware and software related to company servers, working closely with IT&T Field Engineers at airports and ServiceDesk Engineers at HQ during installation and configuration phases.
  • Monitor server activity and collaborate with IT&T infrastructure teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Manage Service Desk requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of incidents and support tickets.
  • Perform and manage data backups for all servers, including secure offsite storage of backup media.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the computer room where server infrastructure is located, ensuring reliable performance of air conditioning systems and uninterrupted power supply, in cooperation with L1 engineers
  • Plan, manage, and maintain the company’s overall IT&T systems infrastructure and server environment in collaboration with the IT&T Systems Infrastructure manager  and fellow System Supervisor/Administrators—covering system updates, upgrades, security, backups, and daily operations of email, web, and file servers, as well as storage and backup systems.
  • Support IT governance and security, working with the IT&T Systems Infrastructure manager and other stakeholders to implement and maintain processes for user account provisioning, identity management, and access control, while monitoring for unauthorized access.
  • Document and maintain IT&T systems policies, procedures, and daily maintenance routines for all managed servers and infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • At least 4 years of experience in computer operations, system administration, and end-user support. Previous experience in an airport or aviation environment will be considered an asset
  • Fluency in Greek & English, both oral and written
  • Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of modern Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of web servers, authentication and authorization tools, enterprise applications, storage and backup systems, and current trends in systems security and integration.
