IT Systems Engineer (f/m/x) - Fixed-term contract (maternity cover)

Your mission

About the Role 
We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to strengthen our cloud-native infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement, and operate scalable and secure systems in a fully AWS-based environment. Depending on your seniority, you will either support and grow within our infrastructure landscape or take ownership of architectural decisions and mentor others. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. 

Your Responsibilities 
  • Design, implement, andoperatecloud infrastructure inAWS
  • Manage andoptimizeKubernetes (EKS)andDocker-basedcontainerenvironments
  • Build andmaintainscalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures
  • Implement and enhancemonitoring and observability solutions(e.g.,DataDogor similar)
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes (Infrastructure as Code, scripting)
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of our systems
  • Troubleshoot incidents and continuously improve platform reliability
  • Collaborate closely with development and operational support teams

Your profile

Your Profile 
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or comparable qualification
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with modern monitoring/observability tools (e.g.,DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure best practices
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bash, Python)
  • Experiencedin workingin environmentswith agile working methods such asSAFe.
