Responsibilities
Tasks to support the internal team:
- Ensure that the database environments required for development are available on time and meet quality standards, whether on-prem or in the cloud (Azure)
- Keep applications and their environments up to date and install critical patches when needed
- Ensure continuous availability of applications, application resources, and associated modules, with the ability to restore them in case of an error
- Create user accounts and set permissions as required
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
- Automate repetitive tasks
- Maintain communication with colleagues from other departments
Project-related tasks:
- Support the environments of custom-developed applications, solutions, and visualizations developed by Hiflylabs, whether in the cloud or on-prem
- Contribute to the infrastructural and application support of ongoing and newly launched projects
- Regularly analyze performance and capacity reports
- Take responsibility for proactive maintenance
- Build and configure monitoring and logging solutions
- Document installed systems and services
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience as a system administrator
- Confident communication in English with foreign colleagues or partners
- Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for working with technologies beyond your comfort zone
- A problem-solving mindset that drives you to tackle even the most cryptic IT issues
- Strong analytical thinking skills
- High standards for the quality of your work
- A proactive approach and eagerness to take on new challenges and grow professionally
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Background in application development
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their optimization
- Scripting skills or experience with Python programming
