IT System Engineer

Job Role: IT Systems Engineer Location: Hyderabad  Employment Type: Full-time  Experience Required: 5–7 Years About the Role We are looking for a skilled IT Systems Engineer to support and manage our IT infrastructure, take escalations from Junior engineers, and assist with automation and scripting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft technologies (Intune, Entra ID, M365), moderate scripting skills, and experience with macOS device support. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, systems improvement, and mentoring junior IT staff.  Key Responsibilities: Act as the second level escalation point for issues unresolved by Junior support engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced desktop, application, system, and network issues. Manage Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, including device policies, application deployment, compliance, and reporting. Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – advanced user/group management, conditional access, MFA, and security controls. Support and manage the Microsoft 365 application suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office apps). Perform advanced Windows OS administration (performance tuning, GPO management, update troubleshooting). Provide support for macOS devices. Knowledge of JAMF or similar MDM solutions is an advantage. Develop and maintain PowerShell and/or Bash scripts for automation and system administration, and maintain the script library. Participate in IT infrastructure improvement projects and cross-team collaborations. Contribute to SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledgebase enrichment. Support hardware troubleshooting, asset lifecycle, and vendor coordination.  Required Skills & Experience: 5–7 years of IT System Administration / Technical Support experience. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 management and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Manager. Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration. Experience managing Microsoft 365 accounts and services. Scripting experience (PowerShell / Bash) – able to write automation scripts and maintain script libraries (not expert level, but working knowledge required). Capable of managing escalations and mentoring Junior team members. Understanding of macOS administration; JAMF or Apple MDM knowledge is preferred. Familiar with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Manage Engine, etc.) and ITIL processes. Understanding of network basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN). Certifications (Preferred/Highly Advantageous): MD-102: Endpoint Administrator AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent CompTIA A+, Network+, or MS-900 (advantageous) Any scripting-related certification (optional) Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Good communication and stakeholder coordination ability Proactive, process-driven, and eager to improve systems Ability to support and mentor L1/L0 support teams Strong documentation and team collaboration skills
